- Oppose a state income tax
- Fight against the margins tax on small business implemented in the last legislative session (HB 3)
- Fight for appraisal caps
- Fight to reduce wasteful government spending
- Call for an audit of the state budget

- We need to tighten the security for our borders:
- Texas’ border with Mexico stretches almost 1,000 miles.
- Unsecured, it is a magnet for illegal immigration, illicit drugs, and terrorist entry.
- We need a State Representative who will work to solve this challenge.

- Seniors
- Martin Basaldua believes that we can ensure health care for all of our seniors without endangering our economy.
- Each Texan should be free to choose their own doctor.
- We need to look for ways to continue to bring quality health care to our citizens while
- helping to ease the burden of its ever rising costs.
